A smooth flight begins with easy access to your essentials. Pack a small pouch with your must-haves like earphones, phone charger, power bank, earplugs, neck pillow, eye shades, moisturiser, lip balm, toothbrush and travel-sized toothpaste.
Keep the pouch within easy reach so don’t put it in the overhead locker because when you most need it either the seat-belt sign will be on because of turbulence or the person next to you will be eating or fast asleep.
When storing the pouch in the seatback pocket, first place the pouch in a plastic bag. If you don’t have one you can use the plastic bag that airline blanket comes in or even the air sickness bag. The seatback pockets are rarely clean so best not to place your belongings directly in it.
