Snack Wisely: Healthy Flight Snacks

Airline meals can be hit or miss and in-flight snacks are often expensive and unhealthy. Bring your own snacks to stay fuelled without overspending. Pack protein bars, nuts, dried fruit, or crackers, and avoid overly salty options to prevent dehydration.

In-Flight Snack Ideas:

  • Protein Bars: Easy and filling.
  • Nuts & Seeds: Protein and healthy fats.
  • Fruit: Hydrating and fresh.
  • Rice Cakes with Nut Butter: Light yet satisfying.
  • Trail Mix: A healthy, portable snack.

Taking nuts as a snack can be a risky choice. If someone has a severe nut allergy there will be an announcement asking passengers not to consume any nuts during the flight. On a recent flight, I had a delicious sandwich with chocolate and hazelnut spread just sitting there in my backpack teasing me as my stomach rumbled and roared.
