Boarding Pass Changes are Coming

Digital Boarding Pass

Air travel is becoming increasingly digital, and passengers need to be prepared for a major change in boarding procedures. Starting 3 November 2025, Ryanair will no longer accept printed boarding passes. Instead, travellers must use the myRyanair app to access digital passes. This move is designed to streamline airport operations and cut down on paper waste.

However, there are a few exceptions: flights departing from Morocco, Turkey (excluding Dalaman), and Tirana, Albania will still allow printed passes until March 2026.

For a smooth travel experience, passengers are advised to:

Download the app in advance: Ensure your boarding pass is saved on your phone before heading to the airport.

Keep your phone charged: Running out of battery could create unnecessary stress at check-in.

Stay informed: Regularly check airline updates for any changes to boarding procedures.

This move by Ryanair may signal the future for other airlines, as more carriers are expected to adopt digital-only boarding passes in the near future. Embracing digital passes is more than just a convenience—it’s a small step towards faster, more eco-friendly travel.
